Training
Qualification Levels
MCESG has three levels of qualification that have been identified as minimum credentials necessary to address the needs of our served agencies and to assume the various roles and responsibilities identified in the communications plan.
Level 1 Qualification
Introductory Training for all Affiliates
- Complete FEMA IS- 100, IS-700, and ARRL Basic EmComms.
- Local training in Emergency Communications and WinLink.
Level 2 Qualification
Assignments in the EOC and beyond Manatee County
- Complete IS-200, IS-800 and ARRL Intermediate EmComms.
- Participants are encouraged to attend EOC Orientation and monthly Hands-On Training sessions.
Level 3 Qualification
Section Leadership Appointees
- Complete the FEMA Professional Development series and ARRL Advanced EmComms.
- Complete FEMA G-300, and G-400 when available locally.
